On 12 October 2015 the results of a study were released in Maputo, named ‘Mapping of Organizations of the Civil Society (CSOs) and their Partners in Mozambique’.
The mapping of the civil society is an instrument that aims to provide the European Union and all stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the state of CSOs, including the identification of their needs, proposals to maximize its influence on the definition and monitoring of public policies, and guidelines to improve the support strategy for CSOs.
The results of the study was presented during a seminar that aimed to contribute to the debate on the institutional environment of the activities of CSOs and distribute the map of international partners that are committed to civil society. It tried to strengthen the dialogue between these partners and governmental actors and national and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and improve the relationship between the academic world and civil society. Moreover, it reflected on for strengthening the perspectives for civil society.
