On the 15th of December of 2016 was held in the Municipal Council of Beira an Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of Beira. This session had, among other points on the agenda, the debate and approval of the Municipal posture for solid waste management in the city of Beira.
The waste management was a topic that was being debated by the members of the environmental and citizenship clubs (CACs) created under the PAANE project supported by the European Union. Ten proposals were made for the improvement of solid waste management in the city of Beira. It is with great satisfaction and pleasure that we received the news that some of these proposals were used for the elaboration of the Municipal posture that, according to the Assembly secretariat, awaits the signature by the heads of the two stands, to become public.
