Actively promoting recycling since 2009
Starting in Maputo with the installation of 3 Ecopoints in 2010, managed by the Xidzuki community association, which helps HIV-positive people, AMOR is now working in 15 Mozambican Municipalites throughout the country with a wide range of actors, from communities to private sector, civil society, educational sector, local and national authorities.
AMOR’s team is organized around 4 offices : Maputo (Headquarters and Southern Provinces), Vilankulos , Beira (Central Provinces), and Pemba (Northern Provinces).

2017
- Creation of the desk of AMOR in France
- Experimentation with the Eduardo Mondlane University around biochar in Vilanculos
- 6th Ecopoint in Beira
- Opening of AMOR’office in Pemba
- Support to six municipalities of the North to elabore a Plan of Waste Managment for the next 5 years
- Characterisation of waste campaign in the 5th biggest cities of the North
2016
- Project “Environment and Citizenship” in 10 secondary schools in Beira
- Selective collection and environmental education at Primary School Unit 29 in Maputo
- Handicraft and Upcycling Project for women and youth in Maputo and Matola
- Project of training in production of coal and handicraft from waste in the Municipality of Vilanculos
- Creation of the Ecopoints network (5) in Beira
- Inauguration of the 1st Christmas Tree in Beira
- Inauguration of the 3rd Ecological Christmas Tree in Maputo
