AMOR – Mozambican Recycling Association under the Environment and Citizenship Project, financed by the European Union, implemented by the Mozambican Government through the Support Program for Non-State Actors (PAANE), which is being implemented in 10 secondary schools in the city of Beira the awareness of young people in the conservation of the environment and citizenship, making the “garbage” in raw material to be reused and to consider recycling as a way of generating income as well as encourage them to know how to exercise their duties and rights as citizens.
In August, at the beginning of activities after a long vacation, as a way of knowing how our environment ambassadors spent their vacations, they filled out a questionnaire, writing down all the good things each one can do to be happier and also to take care of Planet Earth, this activity aimed to Raise awareness of the importance of the well-being and happiness of each; Raise environmental and social issues above economic interests and enable changes in attitude in everyday life.
Produce beautiful work and promote the discussion of sustainable development. As a way of instilling in the members of the Environment and Citizenship clubs the notion or pattern of appropriate use of natural resources, which should guide them to the correct use of such resources, which will favor their reduction of excessive use of them, highlighting its importance to economic growth.
We also had as main focus the environmental problems resulting from economic growth and the plundering of natural resources, so we discussed how to preserve these resources so that they are sustainable.
