The Mozambican Association of  Recycling (AMOR) in partnership with the European Union and PAANE ( Program of Support to Non-State Actors ), under the Environment and Citizenship Project, which is being implemented in 10 secondary schools in the city of Beira in order to raise awareness among young people in environmental conservation , making the “junk” in raw materials to be recycled and to view recycling as a way to generate income and to encourage them to learn to exercise the rights and duties as citizens.

In order to provide young people with practical and theoretical knowledge in the exercise of citizenship during the month of July with 10 Environment and Citizenship clubs ( CACs ) the following activities are developed : Training of members for the exercise of participatory democracy and organization of the electoral process, through the action plan completion and development of the objectives to strengthen the participants and the development of clubs, through group dynamics to learn how to lead and organize teamwork, time and space to the cohesion of clubs.

Thus it was presented the oppressed theatre to demonstrate the school community no to the violence and also teaching that all have the same right and duty inside and outside of the club.

And regarding the reuse of waste as raw material, they learned to make chairs from plastic bottles used (frozzy, water) in order to raise awareness among members in the conservation of the environment and as a way of generating income.
