Audiência com o CMBWithin the scope of the activities that the Mozambican Recycling Association (AMOR) has been developing in the Solid Waste Management sector in the city of Beira, implementing the Projects (i) Citizens Friends of Environment financed by the European Union and (ii) the Integrated Waste Management financed by UNDP, a close partnership with the Municipal Council was created in order to work together for the sustainable development of Beira City  (Mozambique).

The meeting that had as a point of reference the Project for the Requalification of  four Squares, which consists of the functionalization of degraded urban spaces, was attended by the AMOR Coordinator (Michel Barrucand) with his employees and the Mayor (Albano Carige) accompanied the Councilor for Urban Management and Equipment (Manuel Joaquim), Councilor for Agriculture and Fisheries and the Environment (Carla Almeida) and responsible for Public Relations (António Jaime).

2 “People must realize that in order to have a healthy life, they must collaborate with the green, not vandalize the garden, but enjoy and relax” said Albano Carige.

AMOR has developed work to raise the awareness of residents in the sustainable use of the environment and is open to partnership, as the Coordinator said, “we are now available to open the project to other players in the Waste Management sector, in order to share information and find joint solutions “.
