Within the scope of the activities of the project “Citizens Friends of Environment” implemented by AMOR, financed by the European Union, the Mozambican Recycling Association – AMOR held on the 22nd May, the meeting with the Directors and Focal Points of the partner schools of the project, in the city of Beira.
In order to analyse the progress of the project as well as its implementation against the recommendations of COVID-19, the meeting was attended by 18 representatives of primary and secondary schools.
They were created in this project, the Environment and Citizenship Clubs – CAC´s, covering a total of 390 students (30 in each school), respecting gender equality (50% men / women), benefit from theoretical and practical classes on Recycling, Waste Management and the Environment, thus contributing to the country’s sustainable development.
Likewise, AMOR welcomed the two recently added schools to the project, namely: Escola Privada Longo Alcance and Escola Secundária Mateus Sansão Mutemba, where the Arts, Visuals and Recycling course that will take place soon will also be discussed at the Casa of Culture, with the participation of students from partner schools.
