The monitoring takes place within the scope of the project Strengthening, Training and Organization of Recyclable Dealers in Micro-entrepreneurs in Maputo City, implemented by AMOR – Mozambican Recycling Association and its partner “Monde par la main/GIVE A HAND”, since November 2020, whose objective is Empower and Formalize Informal Activities of Women Waste Pickers in Maputo City.
In the month of May 2021, the monthly monitoring started, consisting in recording the quantities of each type of recyclable waste that the waste pickers have been collecting and selling in their day-to-day activities. The activity in question was preceded by the delivery of a monthly subsidy, notebooks for registration and explanation of its use.
