AMOR – Mozambican Association of Recycling in partnership with WE EFFECT under the ACT program (Action for Inclusive and Responsible Governance) launched on June 27 in Vilankulo. the draft Coal Production and crafts from organic waste.

But once our intention is to invest in the environmental awareness of our communities through capacity building and empowerment of communities so that they become part of the solution of environmental problems.

This project aims to provide the community with practical and theoretical knowledge which will allow them to develop economically in a sustainable manner, contribute to the reduction of deforestation for charcoal production, contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere through waste recycling and support the Municipality in the Management of Urban Waste.

In this context were formed in coal production 10 Neighborhood committees Where one in each 9 districts (19 October, 5th Congress; June 25; High Macassa; From this, Airport, 7 September; Chibuene) covered and one in the ( Mucoque)   market. The committees are constituted of 10 members chosen by the secretary of the district. Which carried out a baseline questionnaires in order to assess the project’s impact on community life.

Besides coal production training committees members also learn to make crafts with recycled material (tetrapack wallets and going-come).
