The Mozambican Recycling Association (AMOR), has been promoting drainage ditch cleaning activities this year, involving Community-Based Partner Organizations (OCBs) to raise awareness of the favorable use of the environment by adopting recycling practices.
The action is part of the Citizens Friends of Environment project, implemented by AMOR, financed by the European Union, where among several activities that the project develops, the cleaning of tertiary ditches has been one of the great bets, because in addition to avoiding the accumulation of dirty water in rainy times, it helps to improve the environment and provides extra income to those involved, through the sale of solid waste to community ecopoints managed by AMOR.
In this sense, engineer Onésimo, representing our partner, Autonomous Sanitation Services of Beira (SASB), visited ditches in the neighborhoods of Goto, Munhava and Inhamízua, and intervened with the OCBs of the local communities in order to raise awareness of the realization ongoing activities of the kind.
