With the support of GIVE A HAND, AMOR – Associação Moçambicana de Reciclagem is implementing a project of art and craft made out of recycled materials. The objective is to train women and youth (workers in Ecopontos and AMOR’s staff ) to produce handicraft and develop micro-entrepreneurship.

This project aims to promote social integration, generate incomes increase and improve living conditions through production and sells of products made with recycled material. Moreover, the project empowers women and youth that are working with recycling.  It teaches them a new vision of waste and provides knowledge on recycling processes to preserve the environment with the idea that they would also participate on the environmental clubs presents in schools. Concerning AMOR’s staff, the training completes their preparation to pass on their knowledge to children in schools and during the awareness campaigns developed by AMOR.  Those campaigns are part of AMOR strategy to include a large diversity of actors in the waste management processes.

The training includes 25 sessions of which 20 are formation on handicraft production and 5 sessions are training on micro-entrepreneurship.

In addition of this training, the beneficiaries are going to participate in events  (environmental fairs, expositions, online promotion on Facebook and recycling green pages, website and calatog) and  be broadcasted on television to advertise their work and help them launch their own activities.
