Buy Nothing Day is celebrated on the last Saturday of November (thus the 27th of this year) and was created with the aim of encouraging people to reflect on excessive consumerism and rethink new styles based on conscious and sustainable consumption.
AMOR – Mozambican Recycling Association thus awakens people’s awareness so that they understand the impacts of their consumption on the environment. Thus, the consumer can increase the positive impacts and reduce the negative ones when deciding why to buy and choosing what to buy, who to buy from, how to buy and defining how to use and then correctly discard what no longer serves.
In addition to raising environmental awareness, AMOR has installed several ecopoints (selective waste disposal points) throughout the country, thus contributing to sustainable development.
